Part D Prescription Drug Plans · South Florida
The right Part D plan is the one that's cheapest for your exact medication list.
We run every prescription you take through every Part D formulary in your ZIP code and show you the total projected annual cost — not just the monthly premium.
Why it matters
The cheapest premium is frequently the most expensive plan.
Part D plans differ by formulary, tier placement, preferred pharmacy network and deductible. Two plans a few dollars apart in premium can differ by thousands of dollars a year for someone taking a specialty or brand-name drug, because one places it on tier 3 and the other on tier 4 with coinsurance.
Recent changes capped annual out-of-pocket drug spending for Medicare beneficiaries, which helps enormously — but plan-to-plan differences below that cap are still substantial. We recheck your plan every fall during AEP, because formularies change every single January.

Frequently asked
Prescription Drug Plan (Part D) questions we hear every week.
Do I need a Part D plan?+
If you have Original Medicare or a Medigap policy and take any prescriptions, yes. Going without creditable drug coverage triggers a late enrollment penalty that lasts for life.
What is the Part D late enrollment penalty?+
It's a permanent surcharge added to your premium of roughly 1% of the national base premium for every month you went without creditable coverage after becoming eligible.
Is Part D included in Medicare Advantage?+
Most Advantage plans include drug coverage. Medigap policies do not, so a standalone Part D plan is required alongside them.
Can I switch Part D plans?+
Yes, during the Annual Enrollment Period each October 15–December 7, or with a qualifying Special Enrollment Period.
What if my drug isn't on the formulary?+
You can request an exception, switch to a covered alternative with your doctor, or change plans at the next enrollment window. We help with all three.
