Medicare Advantage (Part C) · South Florida
Medicare Advantage plans, compared against the networks you actually use.
Part C plans bundle hospital, medical and usually drug coverage, often at a $0 premium with dental, vision and hearing included — as long as your doctors are in network.
Why it matters
South Florida has some of the richest Advantage plans in the country. And the tightest networks.
Broward and Palm Beach County are among the most competitive Medicare Advantage markets in America, which means genuinely strong benefits: $0 premiums, dental allowances, OTC cards, transportation, fitness memberships and Part B giveback on some plans.
The trade-off is the network. Advantage plans use HMO or PPO structures with referral rules and prior authorization, and the plan that covers Cleveland Clinic Florida may not cover Boca Regional. We verify every doctor and every drug before you enroll, because switching outside the annual window is often not possible.

Frequently asked
Medicare Advantage questions we hear every week.
What is Medicare Advantage?+
Part C is a private plan that replaces Original Medicare A and B, usually adds Part D drug coverage, and typically includes dental, vision and hearing benefits, in exchange for using a defined provider network.
Advantage or Medicare Supplement — which is better?+
Advantage costs less monthly and bundles extras but restricts you to a network with prior authorization. Supplement costs more monthly and lets you see any Medicare provider nationwide with minimal out-of-pocket. It depends on your health, travel and budget.
Are my doctors covered?+
That's the first thing we verify. Networks vary by carrier and even by county line within South Florida — we confirm each provider before you sign.
When can I enroll or switch?+
During your Initial Enrollment Period at 65, the Annual Enrollment Period each October 15–December 7, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period January 1–March 31, or a Special Enrollment Period if you qualify.
Can I go back to Original Medicare later?+
Yes during the allowed windows, but adding a Medigap policy afterward may require medical underwriting in Florida. That's exactly why the initial decision deserves real analysis.
