Heart Attack Insurance · South Florida
A lump-sum check the moment a cardiac event is diagnosed.
Cash paid directly to you on diagnosis of a heart attack — for the deductible, the mortgage, the time off work, and everything major medical doesn't touch.
Why it matters
Your health plan pays the hospital. This pays you.
Cardiac events remain the leading cause of hospitalization for Florida adults over 45, and even a well-insured household commonly absorbs $8,000–$20,000 in deductibles, coinsurance, cardiac rehab and lost income in the year following one.
A heart attack policy pays a lump sum — typically $10,000 to $100,000 — as soon as diagnosis is documented. There are no restrictions on how it's spent, and it pays in addition to any other coverage you carry, including employer plans and Medicare.

Frequently asked
Heart Attack Insurance questions we hear every week.
What counts as a covered heart attack?+
Policies define it clinically — typically documented myocardial infarction with elevated cardiac enzymes and EKG changes. We walk through the exact definition before you sign anything.
Is angioplasty or a stent covered?+
Many plans pay a partial benefit (often 10–25%) for angioplasty, stents or bypass surgery without a full infarction. Coverage varies by carrier — it's one of the things we compare.
Can I buy this if I've already had a cardiac event?+
Sometimes, depending on how long ago and current status. Some carriers offer coverage for subsequent, unrelated conditions. It's worth a short conversation.
Does it pay if I'm on Medicare?+
Yes. Supplemental cash benefits pay independently of Medicare and are a common way to handle Part A deductibles and recovery costs.
Is there a waiting period?+
Most policies have a 30-day waiting period from the effective date, and a pre-existing condition limitation of 6–12 months depending on the carrier.
