Fixed Annuities · South Florida

A guaranteed interest rate, a guaranteed principal, and zero market exposure.

A contractually guaranteed interest rate on money you can't afford to lose — tax-deferred, principal-protected, and shopped across A-rated carriers.

Why it matters

The conservative anchor of a South Florida retirement plan.

A fixed annuity is straightforward: you deposit a lump sum, the insurance carrier guarantees an interest rate for a defined term, and the principal is never exposed to the market. Growth is tax-deferred until you withdraw, which matters considerably for retirees managing taxable income and Medicare IRMAA thresholds.

Compared to a bank CD, fixed annuities typically credit a higher rate, defer taxes rather than generating an annual 1099, and can be converted to guaranteed lifetime income later. The trade-off is a surrender period, so we size the deposit around liquidity you'll genuinely never need to touch.

Frequently asked

Fixed Annuities questions we hear every week.

How is a fixed annuity different from a CD?+

Both guarantee a rate, but annuities are issued by insurance carriers, grow tax-deferred rather than generating annual taxable interest, usually credit more, and carry surrender periods instead of FDIC insurance — they're backed by the carrier and Florida's guaranty association.

What rates are available now?+

Rates move weekly and vary by term and carrier. We pull current quotes from multiple A-rated companies whenever you ask — there's no cost to see the market.

Can I access my money?+

Most contracts permit 10% penalty-free each year, plus provisions for nursing home confinement or terminal illness. Beyond that, surrender charges apply during the term.

Are my funds safe?+

Annuities are backed by the issuing carrier's claims-paying ability and, within statutory limits, the Florida Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association. We only present A-rated carriers.

How are withdrawals taxed?+

Gains are taxed as ordinary income when withdrawn. Withdrawals before 59½ may also incur a 10% IRS penalty on the gain portion.
